ISTT attended 24th ASPA Board of Directors Meeting

The 24th ASPA Board of Directors Meeting was held at Rex Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on Oct 24 during the 16th ASPA Annual Conference. The ASPA board members including Dr. Mohammad Javad Omidi and Mr. Hasan Khakbaz (Isfahan Science and Technology Town), Dr. Tomoyoshi Okita (President of Kanagawa Science Park), Mr. Randy T.M. Yen (President of Hsinchu Science Park), Mr. Masao Hashinaga (Representative Executive and Managing Director of Kyoto Research Park), Mr. Won Cheoul Jang (President of Korea Technopark Association), Mr. Ja Jung Koo (Director of Gyeonggi Technopark), Dr. Nguyen Van Lang (President of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park), Dr. Mowaffaq Hannandeh (Board of Director Member of Al Urdonia Lil Ebda), Ms. An-Yu Li (Section Chief of Central Taiwan Science Park) and Dr. Le Hoai Quoc (President of Saigon Hi-Tech Park) attended the meeting. These board members organized the previous ASPA Annual Conferences and ASPA LEADERS Meetings in their regions and have a full authority as a member of ASPA Board of Directors. ISTT is the Executive Board Member of ASPA as it has organized ASPA Annual Conference two times in 2006 and 2011.

Especially, there were the votes for the 7th Chairperson of ASPA during the 24th board meeting and Dr. Jong Hyun Lee was re-elected as the next Chairperson of ASPA with the approval of the board members. The ASPA board members also discussed the changes of shortlisted company selection and nomination procedure of ASPA Awards.

Last but not least, by vote of ASPA Board Members, Fars Science and Technology Park (FSTP) was selected as the host organization of the 18th ASPA Annual Conference which will be held in Shiraz, Iran in 2014.
